Looking for materials? Here's where to find Horned Lizard bones in Horizon Forbidden West.
Horizon Forbidden West features a hefty crafting system. Certain components that you collect throughout your jouney can be used to upgrade weapons, outfits, and pouches. While the majority of the materials are torn off components from wild machines, some can be sourced from more natural beings.
When upgrading things such as your potions pouch, resource pouch, and more, you'll need to make use of certain animal components. One such animal is the Horned Lizard which, if you want to upgrade a certain pouch, you'll need to locate.

Horizon Forbidden West: Where to Find Horned Lizard Bones
Horned Lizard bones can be found (to no surprise) on Horned Lizards. Finding the lizards, though, is what's slightly more challenging.
Horned Lizards aren't found in every area but rather are more commonly found in desert-like biomes. The earliest you should be able to find one is right after heading west upon leaving GAIA's new facility. Use your focus to scan the area and keep an eye out for these tiny lizards. Located roughly in the middle of the overall map.
They're small, quick, and difficult to catch. Approach them slowly and with your bow out to shoot them quickly before they escape. After taking one out, they have the chance to drop a Horned Lizard bone. You might need to kill a few before it drops, however.
If you don't spot one right away, don't worry. They're not as common as raccoons or boars so it could take a bit of searching.
