Where Does the Las Vegas Raiders QB Rank?

Derek Carr's Madden 21 rating doesn't jump off the screen and makes the Las Vegas Raiders a difficult team to use.

Sept. 10 marks the start of the 2021/21 NFL Season meaning football is officially back. Of course gamers have already been getting their football fix. Madden 21 released on Aug. 28 and among criticism for an overall disappointing product, there has been a bright spot in the rough.

The quarterback play has received applause for giving users more control than ever. Run-Pass-Options feel realer than before and the short passing game can be lethal with accurate quarterbacks, particularly vs. zone coverage.

Derek Carr Madden 21 Rating: Las Vegas Raiders QB

One of the more fascinating QB situations in the NFL, the Las Vegas Raiders have Derek Carr in the starting slot. He's been the starter there since he was selected 36th overall in the 2014 NFL Draft. In 2017, Carr signed a five-year, $125 million contract extension as he showed signs of developing into a top-tier franchise QB.

Although, just this off-season the team signed former Tennessee Titans Quarterback and former second overall pick Marcus Mariota as an insurance-policy. Mariota was placed on the injured reserve list meaning Nathan Peterman is now backing up Carr. One injury to the Raiders starting quarterback might jeopardize its debut season in Vegas.

Fans hope Carr turns a corner this season and cements himself as the guy moving forward. If he plays well, his rating will improve from the initial 80 overall rating he received at launch, and Raiders fans around the world will rest easy at night.
