Since its debut in November 2019, Disney+ has only been available in a handful of countries relative to its primary nemesis, Netflix. However, that may not be the case for long as the streaming service is making an attempt to catch up. Disney+ is expanding to 42 new countries, making the service available to a larger market than ever before.

Disney+ Is Expanding to 42 New Countries
Disney+ is launching in 42 new countries and 11 territories across Africa, Europe, and West Asia starting in May 2022. This is a significant expansion for the streaming service, which has only been available in a handful of countries since its official launch.
The new countries set to enjoy Disney+ include Albania, Algeria, Andorra, Bahrain, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Egypt, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, and Kosovo.
Other countries with a summer 2022 launch include Kuwait, Latvia, Lebanon, Libya, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Malta, Montenegro, Morocco, North Macedonia, Oman, Palestine, Poland, Qatar, Romania, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Tunisia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Vatican City, and Yemen.
Disney+ will also be available in 11 territories, including Faroe Islands, French Polynesia, French Southern Territories, St. Pierre and Miquelon Overseas Collective, Åland Islands, Sint Maarten, Svalbard & Jan Mayen, British Indian Ocean Territory, Gibraltar, Pitcairn Islands, and St Helena.
The streaming service will first launch in South Africa on May 18, followed by the rest of the countries and territories in June.
