Whenever URF comes around, there's always a few champions who abuse the system and become a little out of line, as far as balance is concerned. There are champions like Sona, who become infuriating spammers, and champions like Shaco, who become infuriating all around.
Worst of all are the champions who simply won't die, even when the entire enemy team is hammering into them, and still find the damage to kill everyone. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Maokai.
You might say that the enemy team missed their spells, or failed to itemize properly by foregoing any items that apply Grievous Wounds. Valid concerns, but that doesn't change the fact that Maokai was effectively 1v4 for half a minute and came out on top.
Instead of being baffled at this horrible aberration of balance, you probably want to know how it's done. Very well. Just build Adaptive Helm, Gargoyle Stoneplate, and three Spirit Visages. Note that its passive doesn't stack, but it's still a ton of health regeneration and magic resist. Warmog's Armor could also be a good alternative.
