To Exile or Not to Exile

Eadwyn forces players to make a choice in AC: Valhalla that will determine the course of her future.

Assassin's Creed: Valhalla wouldn't be a true role-playing game without a bit of choice and consequence along the way. There are several major decisions to make as Eivor tells their story, which each one providing a unique effect on the world around them. The situation with Lady Eadwyn is one such example.

Eadwyn Choice AC Valhalla

The context arrives at the end of The Stone Saga, once Eivor has weakened Eadwyn's hold over her territory. Geadric will want to begin the assault on her stronghold, which results in the two bringing her to her knees. Now, the player will be faced with two choices: hand Eadwyn to Gaedric or exile her from the land.

Exiling Eadwyn will see her be banished from her land and stripped of her titles. She is no longer in charge of any holdings. Otherwise, however, there is no additional consequence. Eivor simply lets her leave.

Turning her over to Geadric leads to him saying he will watch over her. However, there is no concrete information on exactly what this means for her. Eawdyn is a tough warrior, which would garner some respect, so it's possible he may not kill her outright once Eivor is out of earshot.

The only real consequence is the weight the player will carry on their conscience. Either way, Eivor won't encounter Eadwyn again, so they won't be able to note the follow through of their decision in real time.
