During her time at ABC Australia, she hosted The World Today, a national current affairs show. She also covered the Asia Pacific region for ABC’s Foreign Correspondent program. Her professional life began after she graduated from The Australian National University. For a year, she worked at Parliament House in Canberra as a Member of Parliament staff under a Speechwriter and media officer.
She was later promoted to Senior Researcher and Media Officer at the National Media Liaison Service, where she worked for five years. She worked directly for the Australian government’s Keating and Hawke administration.
She also spent three years as a Weekend Anchor at Capital TV Ten News in Australia’s National Capital. She worked as a Sunday morning radio host for the show “Church on Sunday” at Triple S FM in the 1980s and 1990s (formally known as 2SSS-FM).
