Overwatch Bug Removes Lore Information From Skins in Hero Gallery

The latest Overwatch update brought a bug that removed lore information from skins in the Overwatch hero gallery.

Blizzard's newest Overwatch patch added the Summer Games to live servers, but it unintentionally removed the lore captions that can be read while viewing certain skins in the hero gallery. Skins taken directly from important situations based off the game's lore, like Soldier: 24 Reaper from the Retribution event, typically have a small caption at the corner that give players a better idea why the hero's skin looks the way it does. The new update removed that caption.

Overwatch lead writer Michael Chu clarified it was not an intended feature. "Definitely a bug, we’ll look into getting it fixed," he wrote in the Blizzard forums.

The latest patch included more bugs like the ability to purchase a legendary Lúcio emote meant only for Overwatch League All-Access Pass holders. Overwatch players on the PS4 were also hit with a bug that made voice chat at max volume by default, forcing players to lower the volume considerably.
