It is fair to call Valheim cross-platform depending on your definition. Valheim is the new Viking survival game that has taken the PC gaming community by storm, selling over two million copies on Steam. The game has seen an unprecedented rise in popularity less than two weeks into its early access release.

Is Valheim Cross Platform?
Valheim is currently only available on PC for the Windows and Linux operating systems. Developer Iron Gate Studios stated that a Mac version of the game would be made if demand were to become high enough. Given the game's skyrocketing popularity, a Mac version of Valheim could be on its way.
While Valheim is not cross-platform between PC and consoles, there is crossplay between Windows and Linux users. Players with either OS can play freely with one another, and a potential Mac version would most likely include crossplay as well. The game's multiplayer system can support up to ten players in either co-op or PvP gameplay.
A console version of Valheim has yet to be announced and will likely not be addressed until the full version of the game is completed. Valheim is still in its early access phase and will be using this time to work out bugs, assess player interests, and build an overall better product. Once a full version is released, the game could quickly move to consoles given its immense popularity.
