How to lean in PUBG Mobile is possible, but it's something you need activate in the settings.
Unlike the PC or console versions of PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS, you can't peek and lean right off the bat.

How to Lean in PUBG Mobile
To enable Peek and Fire, go to Settings and click Basic. Then scroll down to find the Peek and Fire option. Click the option and hit the enable button. Once you are in the game, go to the controls to toggle either tap to lean or hold to lean.
The new buttons will appear next to the movement keys, so you can hide behind things and click the lean out buttons.
