How Do They Work in Season 5

The Red Door system is back for Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5, and a few changes have been made to how it works.

Introduced in Season 4, Red Doors were used as a fast-travel option. Players could quickly transport themselves to another location on the map filled with high-leveled loot. There were set locations where a Red Door could spawn, but not every door was guaranteed to appear in a single match. The system for Season 5 has had a bit of an overhaul and, for some players, might pose more of a risk. Here's how it works:

Unlike the previous season, Red Doors in Warzone Season 5 no longer guarantee players a direct warp to one of the Stations dotted around the map. Instead, players will find themselves transported to a corridor filled with Red Doors. Pick the right one and be sent to a Station filled with loot. Pick the wrong one and players will quickly find themselves falling from the sky at the edge of the map. Keep in mind that there's only a 30 second window to make the choice, otherwise get ready for redeployment.

How to Choose the Correct Red Door in Warzone Season 5

So, is there a way to tell which door won't leave you falling through the sky? The Warzone community believes they've figured it out.

The trick relies on the sound. Players listening carefully might be able to recognize that one door sounds a bit different to the rest. The correct door should have a higher pitch sound behind it compared to the other. Players who pick this door will be rewarded with high-level loot and spare themselves a trip back to the map.
