Devil May Cry 5 Multiplayer Details: Who Can You Play With?

Devil May Cry 5 was released yesterday to rave reviews. The fifth installment in the popular demon-slaying, hack-and-slash game series includes tons of new and exciting ways to slay your enemies. What's more, this traditionally single player game also supports multiplayer features as well.

Devil May Cry 5 Multiplayer Details

In the past, Devil May Cry had multiple characters players could play as, but each had their separate, single player only storyline. But in the latest edition, players can group up with other people to tackle the game's challenges.

But there is a catch. Players can only group up in teams of 2-3 people that are chosen randomly by the game. In other words, players cannot select who they play with. The game works to match you with players who are playing as different characters but are in the same part of the game as you are.  

Devil May Cry 5 does give priority if your friends are online. So if you coordinate with your friends to play the same section of the game as different characters, there is a very high likelihood that you will be matched with them.

Fans of the Devil Macy Cry series have already developed an interesting mod for the game, while the whole story and every cut scene has already been compiled into a movie.
