One really cool thing about Death Stranding is procedural paths.

There are small rocks everywhere normally. Makes moving hard and using bikes incredibly frustrating. But the more players that go the same path, the more the rocks dissapear in those areas...

Death Stranding Plot Summary

WARNING: The rest of this article will contain spoilers

Death Stranding takes place in a dystopian United States, several years after an event known as the "Death Stranding," in which several otherworldly beings known as BTs (short for Beached Things) have entered the Earth through an area known as "The Beach," a portal between the land of the living and the land of the dead. The BTs roam the Earth aimlessly but create occasional storms of supernatural rain called "Timefall," which rapidly ages anything that comes into contact with it.

Those avoiding the BTs have split into several colonies known as "Knots," who rely on the aid of a company known as Bridges to send porters between the colonies to deliver food and supplies, fighting BTs, scavengers, and terrorists along the way. Using incubated premature babies known as Bridge Babies, the porters are able to prevent themselves from entering the world of the dead as they head across the country to help the United Cities of America.
