Apex Legends 1.58 Patch Notes: Updates and Fixes

With Season 8 of Apex Legends now live, the game has been busier than ever as gamer's take to the new King Canyon's map, and other features. Including a new legend, Fuse. But, with any new update, problems can occur.

Luckily, Respawn Entertainment has been keeping an eagle eye out since Mayhem dropped this month, and noticed one such problem. Bloodhound's scan ability was not picking up targets that it was meant too. The tactical ability (Eye of the Allfather) was not the only issue, as errors occurred also with other features, such as Explosive Holds.

Apex Legends 1.58 Patch Notes: Updates and Fixes

Overview

So far, the February patch notes have been:

  • Bloodhound’s tactical
  • Stability fixes
  • Errors with Explosive Holds in Kings Canyon
  • Re-enabled some of the dialogue that was (wrongly) disabled

Eye of The Allfather Scan Fix

Bloodhound's buggy tactical has been causing a lot of problems for players. From casual to team-ups, those who relied on the tactical scan's intel have been let down. With it cropping up at the most inopportune times, it was clearly something Respawn needed to focus on.

For in-game play, if there were two different Bloodhounds using the scan, the players that one scan discovered would not be seen by the the other. Presenting more of a problem for tightly-knit teams. Respawn have focused on this bug with the new patch 1.58, so hopefully those who main Bloodhound will not have such a tough go of it anymore.

Explosive Holds

Another bug that this new patch in Apex Legends has focused on is the Explosive Holds. It has taken a while, but people seem to be getting the hang of not running from the blast when you open the hold. However, you can get a little stuck on the doorstep.

Fortunately, Respawn are already on point and raring to resolve these issues, and if any more pop up, gamer's and developers alike have their eyes peeled.
